Emergencies

Call your own doctor first, especially if your emergency occurs in normal surgery hours. Alternatively, if your emergency happens out of surgery hours - Out of hours care is now provided in Suffolk by NHS 111.

If you require urgent medical attention when the surgery is closed please dial 111.

Please call the GP surgery; you are registered with, to ask if they conduct home visits if you are too ill to attend.

Opticians

If you think you require spectacles, consult any optician. If you already have spectacles supplied under the National Health Service, and they require replacement or renewal, you may take them to any registered optician.

The optician will require the following information: the address of the optician who supplied your last pair of spectacles and the date of supply. Normally lenses may be changed after two years wear. Service personnel are to contact the Practice Manager at the Station Medical Centre for advice regarding the protocol to follow to see an optician.

Suffolk Families Information Service offer a free impartial advice on how to choose the type of childcare most suited to your needs and the needs of your child. Their friendly staff can provide you with a detailed childcare search of childcare providers in the area you are looking for.
